Ballooning in South Africa

South Africa is well known for it's diverse landscapes and coastline and there is no better way to see it that from a hot air balloon. Balloon flights normally take place at dawn or dusk, where the lighting is picture-perfect for photographers.

Some of our top ballooning spots are the arid Karoo landscape around Oudtshoorn, the rolling hills of the Natal Midlands, the beautifull Cape Winelands and The Cradle of Mankind (West of Johannesburg). The picture above was taken by Juliet James from the UK, on her recent trip to SA.
