Two Oceans Aquarium

The Two Oceans Aquarium is perfectly situated at the meeting place of the magnificent Indian and Atlantic Oceans. Here you also get to meet the more than 3000 sea creatures who are on show in this awesome underwater sea life reserve. Various fish, turtles, penguins and even sharks are showcased for your viewing and interactive pleasure.

In the You Tube clip above you get a feel of the scuba dive experience you can have with ragged-tooth sharks smoothly passing you by, really close! The two million liter Predator Exhibit also presents a stunning assortment of other big predatory fish from the nearby oceans.

Shark lovers and nature guardians will be proud to know that the Two Oceans Aquarium successfully returned two more ragged-tooth sharks just yesterday, the 24th February 2010, in their continual efforts to support conservation. Mandy and Noodle, the sharks released yesterday, were set free in ideal weather conditions and swam off into the ocean without a backwards glare!

You can wander through observing these gorgeous tanks from a safe length or plunge in for a memorable burst of adrenalin, your choice entirely. Dive with the predators at Two Oceans Aquarium.

Wow. I did not know you could scuba dive at a place so near Knysna. It felt gripping - watching those sharks and fish passing so near you...

But don't the sharks harm - I mean they don't eat humans?
