Paraglide in South Africa

Does paragliding give you the biggest adrenalin surge? Come and paraglide in South Africa, we have a big portion of blue sky days and acres of sumptuous landscapes that look spectacular from any angle and more so from above. Fly over rock, sand, green plains and water, the options and combinations are unlimited.

South Africa’s hot interior is known for thermals which have helped many Paragliders to record impressively long distance flights. These are found predominantly in the flat and hot Northern Cape where the artist in you will be inspired by shades of tan, gold and brown.

When this dry area has left you parched and thirsting for more paragliding, head to the coastal provinces namely Eastern Province, KwaZulu-Natal or Western Cape for a bit of ocean gazing. There are abundant ridges to soar over and some fantastic scenic flying is available along the coast.

In popular Cape Town, you can paraglide off Lion's Head and fly into the sunset then land at one of the vibey beachfront pubs. North from there visit Wilderness on the Garden Route for sights of dolphins and whales as you launch into the big blue beside the great Indian Ocean.

Inland the mountainous and hilly parts of the Western Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga will reward paragliders with mind blowing scenery.
For those jetting in for business in Gauteng there is a controlled airspace near Hartbeespoort Dam in the Magaliesburg area that offers good paragliding.
Source your partner in Paragliding from www.AdventureEscapades.co.za, be introduced you to the best in the paragliding industry!

Adventure Tourists in South Africa

The adventure tourist visiting South Africa will be pleased to find a playground comprising more than 3000 kilometres of coast, dozens of mountain ranges along the Drakensberg and Cape Fold Belt and a climate that accommodates most adrenalin activities all year through.

Travel and adventure have become increasingly intertwined as people globally pursue healthier active lifestyles and grow more appreciative of the environment we share. Time spent outdoors bonds families, builds team spirit and balances mind, body and spirit. Time spent outside in South Africa’s vast expanses of natural beauty does this more effectively than in many other countries, this may be attributed to the untamed magic that belongs to Africa alone. A primitive ‘X’ factor no other place in the world emulates.

Adventure tourists in South Africa indulge in world-class mountain climbing, surfing, scuba diving, hiking, horseback trails, mountain biking, river rafting, paragliding, zorbing and just about all the thrilling activities you have dreamed of. These are provided by committed, professional guides and experts in the many fields, the cream of which you will find browsing the pages at www.AdventureEscapades.co.za
